I stumbled upon your channel brethren...and definitely I see that you're a newby to surf fishing 🎣 🤔....but that's alright....I can give you 1 pointer that will help you save your gear....don't use these super heavy running sinkers on your medium spinning rods....use 1 oz egg sinkers for your finder rigs and 1 oz bank or bomb sinkers for your dropper rigs...you'll thank me later this 🙂

There is no rules to fishing, I have had so called experts tell me that my setup will not work and out fished them minutes later, one of the best things about fishing is that you can experiment, there is no golden rules. I have used lures 2 ounces on rods rated for 3/4 oz with great results same thing with surf rods rated for 3 oz having great success with 5oz sinkers.
